Getting close now!
Unbelievable. After the epidural, Carolyn & I were able to catch about 2 hours sleep between 1:30am and 3:30am. She's almost 10cm dilated now (9+) and so preparations are underway for "the pushing".
Apparently the estimates for a first-time mother is for about 1 hour of pushing.
It looks like Baby Nash may beat the dawn after all. That means that the winning day for the baby pool is October 15. The question now is weight. We have bets ranging from 7 lbs even all the way up to 9 lbs 12 oz. We'll see. The pot is $85.
Carolyn seems to be in good spirits. The contractions seem to have done their work, without the pain involved before the epidural. Of course, the real show has yet to start.
Hard to believe that we may have our first son in the next couple of hours. Carolyn & I have even finalized the name...
