What about the marsupial approach?

I mean, did we really give that a good shot before going placental? Honestly. Baby comes out tiny, crawls out himself, and then goes to a pouch with a nipple. 6 months later, full grown joey.

That seems like a good approach. Plus, you have the pouch all those other times you are not using it for a baby.

Unfortunately, the only mammal smart enough to do this in North America is the Opossum. Oh well.

Contractions are very intense, and up to 2 minutes long. Coming down to more like 6 minutes apart.

Carolyn had some dinner - chicken soup. Graham cracker or two. It's been a long day already.
